Since most of my time lately is occupied by holding little Ian or nursing, I've spent quite a bit of time parked on the sofa watching TV. I usually don't watch that much TV and rely on the DVR to see my most favorite shows. Speaking of DVR, I finally had DirecTV out to fix our DVR's. Before, we could only watch a show or record 1 show at a time. What's the point of a DVR? Well, 2 technicians over 2 days, and $250.00 later, we finally can record 2 shows at a time.
I drafted this yesterday and didn't have time to finish. Now the TV in the family room is on the fritz. It's making the most awful noise and the color is crazy. It sounds like a weedeater! And, it's not the TV I've been watching. It's the newest TV we have--our 50" big screen that's less than 3 years old. Believe it or not, I still have an old Sony TV in from the 80's that works great! I guess Juan will miss his TV for a week or two while it's being repaired.
Since I've been watching TV so much lately, I've seen quite a few infomercials. I saw one last night on the Shark Steam Mop. And, today I was at Target and bought it (much cheaper at Target than TV). I couldn't resist. My tile in the kitchen and entry is my biggest peeve in the house. And, I just never have time to mop it properly. Well, I love my new toy and my tile is so clean now! I still have to sweep, but it's so much faster than mopping!
Ian had his 1-Month Checkup today. He's 10 lbs. 2 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long - 75% for weight and 50% for height. He did have 1 shot today (HEP B), so he's been a bit sleepy since we've been home.

Our New Valentine
1st Bath
Ian had his 1st tub bath yesterday 2/14/09. Or, mini shower--thanks to our friends the Nolasco's who bought him this great tub, with a handheld shower. It's great for his head.
It seems like it took forever to give him a bath, but it took awhile for his cord to fall off. And, the hospital actually left his clamp on. We came home with it on, and then had to return to the hospital to have it removed. Ian actually didn't cry for his bath--I think he liked it!

Our New Little Boy
I've been trying to post for a week now. I forgot how much work it is to have a new baby. And, the lack of sleep does not help. Time is already flying by--Ian will be 2 weeks old tomorrow! He's a great baby! He only really fusses when he is hungry, or when I am changing his diaper (and he's ready to eat). So far, we are adjusting ok. Sterling is having a little bit of a rough time, but overall, he is doing well. And, Avery is a great big sister and loves to shower Ian with kisses or hold his hand.
We go tomorrow for Ian's 2-week check. I also have a follow up visit at my OB. It's going to be a busy morning. We already had our first outing on Monday. Avery and Sterling both had dentist appointments. And, I made a quick run through Target after the dentist(I don't think I've ever been in and out of Target that fast!). But, we all survived.
